TIMBR

The winds of industrial change whistle through the trees. The lumberjills of Illinois Logging speak to each other in hushed voices. Somewhere in the night, a guitar calls out to a fiddle. And, from the darkest depths of the forest… two heroes of old emerge!

TIMBR is a one-act folk-rock musical. Set in a rural Illinois town haunted by the specter of industrial automization, it is a story of friendship, love, the invincibility of the human spirit, and the power of music and myth.

TIMBR features music by Sam Diedrich, and a book and lyrics by Aubrey Lavender and Aidan Mantho. It was directed by Sam Diedrich, with choreography by Imani Lewis-Shirley. It premiered at Bennington College in 2019, and was featured in the 2020 Thornhill Theatre Space Virtual Fringe Festival.
