Bio
Sam Diedrich is a singer, composer, pianist, and a proud New Englander. His work encompasses a diverse range of American styles, including rock, blues, jazz, folk, country, American Songbook-style pop, and neo-psychedelic sound experiments. Sam’s work often deals with themes of communication and alienation.
Sam has released two albums of original music as part of the Bennington, VT-based retro-rock band Aviation. While attending Bennington College, Sam was the music director for several musical theatre productions, including TIMBR, an original folk-rock musical which features his compositions.
Sam’s composition “The Oath” will also be featured in Tolpuddle! The Musical, a show currently being developed by Walk-on Part Productions in Montgomery, AL. In the meantime, he has kept busy through the pandemic holding virtual concerts, creating videos for his YouTube channel, and writing music and lyrics for his newest musical theatre project, a prog-rock modernization of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
